Let’s Honor Our Beautiful Mother’s

Lauren McComb Mother's Day

A whole day to celebrate the women who raised us and for our children to celebrate us. Children might not appreciate everything Mother’s do, but when they get older they will understand and appreciate it. I am so thankful that I get to celebrate my Mom and all she has done and taught me. Each Mother’s Day, I love the joy I see in my children’s eyes when they bring home their homemade gifts to give me! Being a Mom is my favorite role in life, they are my WHY!

Motherhood isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it, and remember you are doing enough! I carve out time every day to make sure I am giving them my undivided attention. I take the few extra minutes to remind them that Mommy needs to work just like they have to go to school. It’s about creating work-life integration. Being a Mom and having a productive schedule it is important to remember to take care of yourself. Self-care is key to being a better Mom. Take time to workout, read a book, or enjoy what you love doing most.

After a long day of working, and getting everything done for the children, I have to remind myself that they are only going to be this little once. In a blink of an eye, they will be teenagers and will think they don’t need me (even though they really do).
Sitting around the dinner table talking about what the kids are grateful for, or what the best part of the day was for them, those are the memories that mean the world to me. I also love waking up early to go cuddle in bed with them before they get ready for school, teaching them about having a positive mindset, or writing them fun notes for their lunches. When the days are long, just change your mindset and spend that quality time with your children, they won’t be little forever.

Motherhood isn’t always rainbows and butterflies, but it is an opportunity to learn about strengths you didn’t know you had. So, on Mother’s Day, and every day, just remember your children love you unconditionally, you are appreciated, and you are ENOUGH!

To the world, you are a mom, but to Your family, you are the world.
Sending love to all of the incredible Mother’s OUT THERE!
Xx,
Lauren
