How to Make Your 2021 Vision Board

vision board

January is one of my favorite months of the year. It is such an amazing time to recharge my batteries, reboot my metabolism, and reset my visions and goals for the future.

This month while also doing the New Years Challenge and 60-hour Keto Reboot, I decided to focus part of my time on manifesting more positivity and growth in my future. One thing I know for sure is that nourishing my mental clarity with more appreciation and gratitude is just as important as strengthening my body with energy and premium fuel.

That’s why this January I’ve decided to create a vision board full of words to live by and meaningful intentions to help me manifest my dreams!

Here are some of my favorite tips and recommendations for making an AMAZING vision board to help you shift the course of 2021 to new record-braking heights!

Plan Your Vision Board

The first and most important step to creating your perfect vision board is writing out your goals. My favorite way to do this is by journaling them in my 5 Minute Journal. This amazing diary is filled with inspiring words and thoughtful prompts that help me channel exactly what I’m feeling into words to live by.

I absolutely love the fill-in-the-blank sections and open-ended questions that stimulate my brain. They truly help me reflect and find the words that describe my objectives, because let’s face it—sometimes writer’s block can be a real thing!

Design Your Vision Board

The next step is deciding how you want to display your vision board. You may choose to keep your goals private in your 5 Minute Journal, or you might want to design something visual to look at everyday. For me, a visual display of my goals is so helpful and inspiring. It’s like having a beautiful daily reminder to get out there and kick butt!

One fun way to create yours is with a pinboard or shadow box from the craft store. These hanging displays are easy to arrange and rearrange your thoughts in so many ways. Besides, they look great strung up on the wall of a home office, mud room, or kitchen.

My favorite reason to create a visual vision board for the wall is so that I can checkoff everything I accomplish in real time and replace my accomplishments with new goals. I like to think of it like a living and ever-changing glimpse into my future. How exciting is that?!

Live Your Vision Board

Never forget that your vision board isn’t just something pretty for your wall. It’s full of goals that need to be LIVED! Challenge yourself each week to achieve one of your intentions. Fill your board with small goals and big goals that you can accomplish at different speeds so that you can always find something to achieve. Remember that life isn’t just about the milestones. It’s also about all the stepping stones that help you along your journey.

Share Your Vision Board!

Once you’ve assembled your vision board with goals and inspiration, be sure to share your hard work! Post it to social media or snap a photo of it and email it to me so we can talk about it together. After all, speaking your intentions into existence is the first step to making them REAL.
