As a mom of five amazing kiddos under the age of 11, it can be challenging at times to find dinner recipes that everyone will love!

In our house, we love to plan out healthy meals focussed on a low-carb/low-sugar lifestyle. It’s something Dustin and I truly believe is important for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and we educate our children on the importance of it, too.

So when I discovered this amazing recipe for Keto Friendly Pizza, I knew it would be a hit! After all, every kid loves pizza!

Now, I know what you’re thinking: How could you possibly make a pizza that’s keto-friendly? The crust is full of carbs!

The key to this recipe is that we remove the crust entirely and use a high protein base to hold it all together. For my recipe, I chose ground chicken for our base, but you could easily use ground turkey or even a ground sirloin instead.

This really is such a delicious meal the whole family will enjoy. Check out the simple list of ingredients and instructions below, and try this one out tonight!

Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella 
1 egg 
1 tbsp parm cheese (optional)  
Salt & pepper 
Garlic powder 

Instructions

  1. Combine the egg into the ground chicken to create the base of your pizza. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to the mixture.
  2. Spread the chicken mixture onto a thin rectangular or circular shape on a pan lined with parchment paper (I always spray it with oil too before putting it down!)
  3. Bake just the mixture first at 400° for 25 mins or until it has cooked through evenly.
  4. Then remove from the oven. Add cheese and any other toppings you would like. We added some turkey pepperoni to ours!
  5. Place the mixture back in the oven and bake at 400° for another 8-10 mins or until cheese is melted!
